History of Boerne High School
Since this is one of the oldest schools in Boerne, a few parts required urgent renovation. As a result, the school authorities decided to shut the school down for a couple of years. The renovation of the school started in 2008 and finished in 2009. During that time, the students from tenth to twelfth grade went to study in the Boerne Samuel V. Champion High School.
The school reopened in the academic year 2009-10. It was a period of turmoil for Boerne High School as it had never closed down even for a month before that. The renovation also led to the starting of some feeder schools under the Boerne High School, such as Boerne Middle School for 6-8, Cibolo Creek Elementary for K-5, Fabra Elementary for K-5, and Curington Elementary for K-5.
